I’m Tom Nysetvold, and this site’s a personal project of mine. I’m currently studying mechanical engineering and working as a research assistant at BYU; I expect to finish my bachelor’s in April 2014. I'm a Mormon, and I created this site in order to teach myself some web programming and remind myself how computers work after spending two years in Brazil as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I had a wonderful experience inviting others to come unto Christ, but it did leave my programming a little rusty. There's nothing quite like opening up a command line after two solid years of non-use.
Before my mission, I worked doing supercomputer biomolecular modeling work with Dr. Knotts of the Chemical Engineering department. Now I work for Dr. Greg Jensen developing multi-user CAD systems. I intend to do a mechanical engineering internship in the summer of 2013 and start work in industry upon graduation.
My other interests include The 100 Hour Board, reading, and hiking.
